How Matching Works

1. 1

   Profile Embedding

   Your skills, target role, experience, and goals are converted into a semantic vector.

2. 2

   Job Indexing

   Thousands of live job listings are fetched and indexed with their own embeddings automatically.

3. 3

   Cosine Similarity Ranking

   Jobs are ranked by how close they are to your profile vector — giving you a percentage match score.

   Matches Tab

   The top matches appear in the Matches tab of the Job Tracker, refreshed on demand.

How to Generate Your Learning Path

   Navigate to Skill Gaps

   Go to Dashboard → Skill Gaps, or visit careercoachlab.com/skill-gaps directly.

   Set your target role

   Enter the job title you are working towards — e.g. "Senior Data Engineer" or "Product Manager".

3. 3

   Run the analysis

   Click "Analyse My Gaps". AI scans hundreds of live job listings for that role and compares them to your profile and CV.

   Review your skill gaps

   See your gaps ranked by ROI — the skills that will most improve your chances appear first, with a role readiness score.

   Generate your learning path

   Click "Generate Learning Path". AI creates a milestone-based plan with curated courses, tutorials, and projects for each gap.

   Track your progress

   Tick off milestones as you complete them. Your role readiness score updates in real time and improves your job match scores.

How Billing Works

   Pick a plan

   Click "Upgrade" in the sidebar or visit the Pricing page, then choose Pro or Premium — billed monthly or yearly (yearly saves roughly 17%).

   Pay securely with Stripe

   Checkout is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — payment information stays with Stripe.

   Get instant access

   Your plan activates as soon as payment confirms, and your monthly included credits are added to your balance.

   Manage anytime

   Go to Settings → Subscription to change plan, update billing, or cancel. If you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you paid for, then drop to Free — and you can resubscribe anytime.

Credits

Some AI actions — tailored resumes, cover letters, fit analyses, resume optimizations, learning-path generation, and over-cap chat — use credits. See your balance on the Credits page; the in-app assistant can tell you the exact cost of any action.

If your employer or an outplacement provider has bought Career Coach Lab seats, you'll receive a voucher code (it looks like CCL-XXXX-XXXX-…). Redeeming it unlocks Premium for a fixed period plus a one-time bundle of credits — at no cost to you.

3. 3Review what the code grants (plan length + credits), then click Redeem.
